After being shot and killed, pathetic lowlife Gene finds himself greeted by a sarcastic eldritch god who grants him the ability to reload past iterations of himself in order to reverse his death.  

Gene is able to play back multiple different cycles of movement, rearranging objects and cooperating with his echo-clones in order to create an elaborate chain reaction of events, ultimately deflecting the bullet back at the gunman.
